Sellers Points - The Best Comics of 2016

January 6, 2017

Two guys talking comics and selling you on the idea of buying only the best, Sellers Points comes to you twice monthly only on Place To Be Nation POP! Long-time friends and comic nerds, Russell and Kelley use every episode to tell you about the best in comics and comics adaptations along with their own brand of “award-winning” analysis.

Happy New Year! The guys take a look back at the best comics of 2016. From ongoings to one-shots, minis and original graphic novels, Russell and Kelley make their lists of what was great about 2016. And of course they work in a shot or two at some of the garbage. Because they can’t help themselves. They forego the usual format to spend the entire episode giving their lists of the best comics of the year. And they each have their own lists this time because they decided to not be such slackers in the new year…we’ll see how long that holds out.

Sellers Points #6: Long Live the Legion!

August 18, 2016

Sellers Points undergoes a bit of a change as Russell’s long-time friend and fellow ginger comic nerd, Kelley Poole joins him to talk a little shop. The two discuss all things comics from the last two weeks including DC’s incredible sales numbers from July, Kelley’s thoughts on Suicide Squad, Civil War II delays and, of course, the many misadventures of fine dining in Enterprise, Alabama.

Pro-tip: always get the chicken…unless it’s from Bojangles.

Then in the second half, Kelley gives us the storied history of the classic Legion of Super-Heroes. From the humble beginnings to their appearances in shows like Smallville and Supergirl, the Legion has been everywhere and, like most long-time teams, had its ups and downs. So sit back and relax as these two wax poetic about being fans of the fringe characters!
