Hard-Traveling Fanboys Podcast #14: Countdown - Favorite Legacy Characters

Mild-mannered reporters by day, Greg Phillips and Nick Duke share an intense love of comic books that has made them the Hard-Traveling Fanboys. Lucha Undead #31: “Interview with JT”

This week Timothy is flying solo, but not to worry as he's got a guest that needs no introduction. At times it feels like he's even a host for that matter, as the one and only JT from the mother ship Place to Be podcast over on PTBN, plus the Dangerous Alliance Wrestling Podcast, and the new Headlines and Clotheslines show among so many other projects with PTBN. JT give the background and history of an ill-fated podcast or two. Dan McGinn is a topic of great discussion as Timothy has been obsessed with that character since he first heard his velvety tones. We also touch on JT's childhood fascination with TV, wrestling, and music come up as that influenced not just JT's pastimes but also his career and even the formation of PTBN. Follow JT on twitter @Place2BeNation and look for his articles on PTBN and also at PWO (as Bigelow34).

Hard-Traveling Fanboys Podcast #13: The Longbook Hunters — The Authority Vol. 1

Mild-mannered reporters by day, Greg Phillips and Nick Duke share an intense love of comic books that has made them the Hard-Traveling Fanboys. Once a month, Nick and Greg will review one of those collections in The Longbook Hunters.

This time around, the boys discuss The Authority: Relentless, by Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch. Is this series as influential as people say? Does it hold up? And just what was that mess about a shampoo bottle?

The Glenn Butler Podcast Hour Spectacular, Episode 25: Happy Birthday – Star Trek Beyond

Star Trek Beyond has arrived, and The Glenn Butler Podcast Hour Spectacular is ON IT. In this reaction show, Glenn & Scott follow their Star Trek vault series with their take on the fiftieth-anniversary film offering, including a spoiler-free section to start. After that they discuss the villain’s motivations, Starfleet’s mission, Kirk’s journey, the nature of family, and much more. The occasion of Rihanna’s contribution brings up the history of Star Trek movies’ engagement with the pop music. Also, of course, the film must deal with the losses of Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin.

The spoiler-free section at the beginning of the show contains no spoilers for anything. The rest of the show contains SPOILERS for Star Trek Beyond, the Destiny trilogy, two Harry Potter books, and amazingly enough, the yet-to-be-written Star Trek 14.
