This week on It Was a Thing on TV we talk TGIF and werewolves.
First, ABC went against the grain with some of their TGIF offerings. First, Dinosaurs aired during TGIF. Second, it was followed by Camp Wilder, an untraditional family sitcom loaded with future star power.
Then, We start Halloween off looking at an obscurity from the early 90s which apparently has a small cult following. Originally, this was called She-Wolf of London but due to budget cuts and production moving from London to Los Angeles, the show underwent a format change and went by Love and Curses.

The season is currently underway, so Adam decides now is a good time to take a week off and go to Canada...so what better subject to talk about then our fine neighbors to the north? kids from up there used to be tiny small school prospects (read: Steve Nash) now are becoming 5* prospects, staying in the country (sorry Oak Hill Academy), and becoming early lottery picks. So see what the fuss is all aboot, eh?

In the thirty-sixth episode of Making Mt. Rushmore, panelists Eric Eells, Keith Langston & Mirandia Berthold join moderator Steve Riddle to discuss which Halloween TV Specials deserve a place on their respective lists. Is “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” a no-brainer? What about the Wandavision episode “All Halloween Spooktacular”? Does the Buffy The Vampire Slayer episode “Halloween” grab a spot? Does the Parks & Recreation episode “Halloween Surprise” or the Freaks And Geeks episode “Tricks And Treats” deserve a place? After that, they discuss which Treehouse of Horror episodes of The Simpons will be part of that grouping. Can you argue that #III from 1992 shouldn’t get a spot? Will #VI from 1995 be included? Is Treehouse of Horror #1 from 1990 in the conversation? What about #IV from 1993 & #V from 1994?

On the thirtieth edition of Pop Goes the Classics, Steve Riddle, Mirandia Berthold, and Andy Atherton continue their trek through the Disney Renaissance by looking at the Hunchback of Notre Dame. The trio discuss all aspects of the film including: the dark tone of the film and staying true to the source material, the pure evilness of Judge Frollo, Quasimodo being one of the most sympathetic characters in history, whether Captain Phoebus is just Great Value John Smith or not, the beauty and kindness of Esmerelda, the importance of Hugo, Victor, and Laverne to Quasimodo, the forgotten soundtrack to the film, how the film would've worked if Cyndi Lauper and Meat Loaf were cast in the film, and if the film is really one of the more underrated films in history. So join Steve, Mirandia, and Andy as they move along through the history of Disney cinema.

This week on It Was a Thing on TV we discuss the story of Carol Brady’s two very lovely girls getting married while trying to escape killer robots.
First, it's the early 1980s and the Brady kids have grown up and are ready to begin adulthood. Two of the Brady daughters got married, the couples moved in together, and Alice joined them for some reason. Typical Sherwood Schwartz hilarity ensued...briefly.
Then, after Westworld, the movie but before Westworld, the HBO series, there was a very brief TV series titled Beyond Westworld. In 1980, CBS attempted to continue the story of robots gone amok, the agents hired to stop them, and their creator from taking over the world.
