The team looks at important character debuts, discusses significant comic creators, and places social and historical context of the era onto the books-all culminating in a holistic look at the Marvel Age of Comics.
This serendipitous seventh episode takes a concentrated look at roughly half of the best of Marvel's output throughout 1966. The Sarcastic Four talk in depth about Marvel Comics' revitalized Tales of Suspense series, which now featured Captain America solo tales in addition to Iron Man adventures, the Avengers, Daredevil, Tales to Astonish (now featuring the Incredible Hulk) and Thor's rechristened solo series; the boys once again discuss the contributions of creators Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby, "Jazzy" John Romita, and Don Heck, as well as the debuting Gene Colan and Gil Kane; the S4 go into the first appearance of the Gladiator, Power Man and the Swordsman; They also discuss Steve Ditko's last Dr. Strange story and our team breaks down the surprising reveal of Ego, the Living Planet.
