Happy days are in Beantown again as the Boston Celtics have won the 2024 NBA Championship after beating the Dallas Mavericks in five games in the NBA Finals. But surprisingly, there is a lot more to talk about than that in NBA-land, and Adam Murray and Andrew Riche, Place To Be Nation's NBA-Team, are recapping the Finals, where the Celtics rank in the all-time champ rankings, and do the final two Gone Fishin' installments for the last two teams left. But that's not all! Riche and Adam also preview the NBA Draft, talk about the early free agency and trade speculation involving Paul George, Klay Thompson, Trae Young, and other potential moves. Then they finish it off with tributes to two basketball legends we recently lost in Bill Walton and Jerry West. So suit it up and take it out with the NBA-Team!

This week on It Was a Thing on TV 
 
First, in the past, we have talked about the ESP fad in the 60s through the early 80s.  A 1973 comedy used the sixth sense as a premise, one that was used less as time went on, turning the show into just another TV show.  Despite two great leads, The Girl with Something Extra was not a show with anything out of the ordinary.
 
Then, the Brits seem to try just about anything when it comes to game shows.  Case in point, this entry from just over a decade ago, a primetime endeavor which combined game show elements with Henson Alternative puppets.  The end result was That Puppet Game Show, which ran for only 8 episodes.  Even though it aired overseas, listeners on the other side of "the pond" can watch it on a semi-frequent basis.
