The Traders are back in full force for an episode spotlighting a popular character in an overlooked spin-off project. It's another DC outing with the Harley Quinn team-up anthology HARLEY'S LITTLE BLACK BOOK by Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner, and a bevy of artistic talents! We take a deep dive into Harley's creation and various origins, going from a minor player in animation, to fan-favorite, then breakout star of her own ongoing monthly title, and eventual revitalization under the New 52. What's the lasting appeal of this madcap anti-hero and where does this curious oversized 6-issue high concept book find her circa 2016? Can Harley hold her own opposite the likes of Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Zatanna, and Superman? More importantly, does a series so shamelessly self-aware even lend itself to scrutiny and critical analysis? We'll take a crack at these questions and much more in this clownish comics chronicle.

This week on It Was a Thing on TV we talk about how this is the drop that gets results!
First in Minisode 28, one of the enshrinees this year’s Baseball HoF inductions was slugger Fred McGriff. While most people know him as a basher for a number of MLB teams, others remember him from appearing in frequently aired ads for baseball skill videos. We look back at the videos, and discover something amazing about those ads about a quarter century later.
Then in Episode 396, in 1979, Angie was bound for great success. Then ABC meddled with the schedule a number of times and despite being a top 5 show the season before, Angie found its way to cancellation a year later.
